Late to the party...

I have resisted for a long time shooting or owning an M & P pistol of any caliber. I have Glocks and XD's. I like both platforms for self defense and just bumming around. I even shot a 7 point buck with a Glock 35. Recently I decided to try a Shield in 9mm. Virtually the same size as my LC9. The Shield is much more refined and just plain fits my hand much better. I shot it yesterday and out to 15 yards, the steel plates kept ringing. Now I can see that I need to make room for full sized versions of the 9mm and probably the 45 acp. Thanks Seymour Skynyrd! LOL.

American made reliable 9mm, sounds like a logical choice.

With more texture and even just a little trigger work, M&P's are absolutely the best feeling striker fired pistols to me. 9mm Shield is my normal carry gun and M&P9L C.O.R.E. is my most accurate striker fired pistol in my hands.
Also LOVE the fact they are US made...

I have the Talon grips installed on mine. Makes the feel even better.

I own several m&p's in various sizes and calibers. I like them all. I do wish they had a g19 size 9mm to round out the family.
