The 229/226 have to be the dirtiest edc guns
Everytime I strip my sigs down for cleaning, there is lint and dust/dirt under the hammer and in the groove on the slide leading all the way down to the barrel. XD's don't seem to attract much lint and fuzz at all on the insides. The sig has a wide open channel for dirt and debris to work it's way down into the gun and it's in the worst possible spot. Just to the left of the hammer so it always exposed and not covered by the holster.
Anyone else have any carry guns that are like that?

I edc a SIG P226. I have noticed the dust bunnies, but it still works. I have cut back a bit on lube. So far so good.

I may need to cut back on lube some. It's like that hammer "pocket" is a lint trap.

I think my "love handles" cover the back of the hammer track!
