Re: Nightstand Gun
Glock 20 SF with tlr-1 and sometimes there is a Glock 19 with NS next to it for the wife who knows how to shoot and is a safe handler of them. On her side she has a Smith airweight .38 at all times but she likes my 19 better. Those are the weekday guns that never really change but on weekends or days off I have an AK with a Tlr-1s and folding stock next to the bed.

Re: Nightstand Gun
I have a holster caddy that tucks between the mattress and box springs. Sidearm gets holstered there at night.

A lot of good ideas in here, thanks.

Re: Nightstand Gun
Until I just sold the 19 I had it in holster caddy. Now it will be the new 1911 with tlr1s and 10rd mag.
In my break case I keep my p32 and in another location is my Kimber CDP.
Listed to have other guns spread throughout the house but we have nephews and nieces over a lot now so they were all returned to the safe or in small safes. May have to invest in some safe books or tactical walls.

Re: Nightstand Gun
Usually the XDM with TLR1...occasionally there is an AR against the wall on the other side of the bed
Re: Nightstand Gun
I have a 7 and a 4 year old, and both of them know never to touch any of the guns unless I say it's okay. They know I have to be with them. If you keep your guns up it becomes a mysterious item that peaks their interest. My gun is on me all day and at night it goes on my night stand. The rest of the guns stay in the safe. My kids are so used to seeing my wife and I with a gun that it's nothing special to them. Nothing trumps gun safety with your kids. I am by no means saying to leave your gun laying and give your kids an opportunity to do something stupid. Use a little common sense and you should be fine.
