I want to know what you think of the Sig 227 45acp. I like the high capacity 45's.

Then look elsewhere, say a G21, for instance. As of now, only 10 rd mags are available for the P227, and rumor has it that the 14 rd mags may never be released, except to law enforcement. If SigUSA is going to start playing that game, then I'll be reserving my money for really over-priced handguns to go to H&K. No, I am not a Sig hater (except for the Mosquito, which I refuse to count as a real Sig), I own several, including a P220, P6, SP2022, & a P938 (which just may be the perfect CCW pistol, IMO).

I bought a SR45, same capacity, half the price, and mine has been flawless, thus far. I was really hot for the P227, but for that kind of money (over a grand!), 10 rds just isn't going to do it, for me. I carry my G21 for 14 rds of .45 or put the 10mm slide on it and carry 17 rds of 10mm (+2 extended floorplate on my mags).

My .02 worth, YMMV.

BTW, welcome to KAC!

FNX 45 is 15rd cap. That seem like the was to go for a high cap .45 to me. I don't own one, just been looking into it a lot because I plan to get a .45 can...

Glock 21 here.

I really like the P220 (a friend owns one that shoots better for me than any other handgun I've touched), and I have no doubt I'd like the 227 as well. But by the time you buy the gun, a half dozen spare mags, etc. the benefits don't outweigh the cost from my perspective.
