M&P trigger job

Post by Bill » Fri Dec 13, 2013 3:36 pm

Does anyone on here have an M&P with a trigger job? Looking to find a kit / gun smith to work out some of the grit and get rid of some of that spongy take up. Any tips or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There is a kit which can be purchased with drop in parts that is supposed to be a vast improvement, though I understand it is pricey. I'm try desperately to remember what it's called, but cannot, for the life of me. I only have 1 M&P pistol, and it's the .22, which isn't compatible with all the centerfire handguns.

Maybe one of the M&P fans can help further. If I remember or can find the trigger kit info, I'll edit this post.

I've heard good things about the apex kit. Do they make them for the shield also?

I have an Apex trigger kit in my shield. It's super sweet. Below is the kit in my gun. Although, I didn't purchase it directly from Apex.

Apex. I have thier stuff in all 3 of mine.

The DCAEK is a big improvement. And the AEK trigger on top of that and it's nice.

After 500 rounds or more my M&P Compact 40's trigger smoothed out nicely.

Truthfully to me, for best bang for the buck. If you don't like the factory hinged trigger get the AEK trigger and the USB and then polish everything. Huge improvement and in my eye's a much better trigger feel With the AEK trigger.

I prefer the aluminum but they have put out a polymer version.

The Apex kit is the one I was trying to recall the name of.
