I just really like the DA/SA method on the Sigs. No safeties except on 1911s as a general rule for me. Glocks are like the Remington 700s of pistols... They're the most popular, there's a million aftermarket accessories, and they get the job done. That said I don't own a Rem 700 either - I'm a Savage guy. I'm sort of a hipster when it comes to guns guess.

I am not a glock lover either (see the sig line) but I have a bunch of them along with some of other stuff as well. Have had issues with some (for those who say they never had an issue).
Always watch out for the Kool Aid drinkers.
