That is absolutely killer. Careful storing it in foam. Foam can attract and trap moisture, then keep it against your rifle.

What is it with the 30-06. Its the Marty McFly of bullets.

Designed in 1906
The 1903 Springfield was chambered for it when it was adopted in 1903.
And now here it is in a rifle from 1895.

Ill give ya $80

Some were in 30-03 and even 7.62 x 54R for the ruskies. Nice rifle.

Designed by JMB in about 1883 or before.
Produced by Winchester on license from Browning.
This was the the second or third design remake to contain pressure of bottle neck smokeless powder.

All this is what I recall, not necessary fact.
