I get ONE battle rifle, whats my goto?

Ar-15 only because I am most familiar with that rifle. Shot a m-14 and loved it, just not as familiar with it.

A battle rifle is a military service rifle that fires a full power rifle cartridge, such as 7.62x51mm NATO. While the designation of battle rifle is usually given to post-World War II select fire infantry rifles such as the H&K G3, the FN FAL or the M14,[1] this term can also apply to older military bolt-action or semi-automatic rifles such as the Mosin-Nagant, Mauser 98k, Lee-Enfield or the M1 Garand.

So I would would chose AR-10 or an FAL based on this.

I figured it's just a decent open need questions to spark up some convo.

Fair enough. OK, in that case, there is only one choice for me; an M1A/M14 with a good scope. It hits harder and farther than the ARs and AKs, and if it is good enough for Fred and for Boston T. Party, it's good enough for me. Plus, it's just a darned good looking rifle.

There's a lot more to ARs than just Armalite Design 15 (AR-15).

I would definitely go with the AR. If you have one full auto, why wouldn't you right?

Even after sending many thousands of full auto rounds down range through magazine, and belt fed weapons, the option to have full auto would change my mind a bit.

As much as I love the black rifle if you are allowed just one battle rifle...take the AK. Its cheap to feed, packs a punch, will handle any battle distance (10-50 yds), short enough for CQB, easy to opperate, and will last forever!!!!

battle rifle for me is some kind of weapon use for protection wherein it shots in a long distance with a high power just like AK47.

Went with ar15. Parts and ammo will b plentiful cuz everybody and their sister got one. And I'm comfortable with it. My most shot rifle to date. Sure I could handle any of the choices though. Ar10 not a bad choice either
