Please explain the point of this to me..
because I must have missed it. Especially since it is a "Patrol Officer Tactical".
Remington is making a pump action .223 / 5.56 that takes AR mags.
Why?
Could there really be departments that worried about reliability of a semi-auto?
Are they worried that officers cannot transition well from a pump shotgun to a semi-auto M4gery? Or even a real M4?
I are confused.

Why not make it semi auto, similar to the 750? Then again, mine can't go through two mags without jamming, so I guess the pump makes sense...
Eagerly awaiting the XDS release...

It's what must companies keep doing, they're filling a market hole that doesn't exist.
Bet that thing cost almost as much as a low price AR.
Just checked $700 to $800 is what I'm finding on the internet.

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

What's the legal definition of a shotgun? I imagine it could vary by state...

It makes sense for department that issue or allow pump shotguns. Minimizes/streamlines training, has same manual of arms, save for a minor loading difference. Not all cops are gun people, and carry or train only as much as required.
Now, make it in 308, with a regular stock, that takes M-14 mags, and I'll be first in line for one.

That is an improper mindset that needs to be properly fixed, not covered up with a bandaid.
