My 1st 4 Mosin-Nagants
From top to bottom : 91/30 with laminated stock, 91/30 hex receiver , M44 with laminated stock, and M38. I have added 6 more since this pic was taken.
Cutting grass is the price I gladly pay for not being cold.

Yes, the M38 was made because of complaints about the 91/30's length. It was made without provision for a bayonet. The M44 is basically identical except for the folding bayonet. The M38 is about 1 1/2 pounds lighter them the M44.

I feel like if i ever need info on an old bolt action military rile I'm going to ask swede. I wish my Mosin looked that good, hopefully when I'm finished rescuing her she will. I wanna buy another one now.

I know a little about Mausers, Mosin-Nagants, and Swiss rifles. Don't know much about American (except Krag), British, French, Italian or Japanese rifles. I do have a few reference books for identification purposes.Rebel Panda wrote:I feel like if i ever need info on an old bolt action military rile I'm going to ask swede.
