Coming to an end

Sad to say that I have decided to dissolve Commonwealth Kydex. I will be finishing up the last orders over the next few weeks. I want to thank everyone for their support, orders, patience, and generosity towards me on my first ever personal business.

Faith and Family first.

This sucks to hear...I was gonna get a couple from you this year. Had a feeling when you started selling off mags. Good luck with wherever the future takes you.

Good luck, and thanks for doing what you did for as long as you did. I'll still be using what I have from you.

That's a bummer. You were becoming the go to guy around here. Thanks for your quality work.

I appreciate the kind words. As of the moment I am keeping the g19, g43, and shield molds on hand for a few weeks. If I can make it work in a timely manner, I will continue to make IWB for those only, and only in certain colors.

This is probably nosy, so if you want to ignore this post, it's ok by me. Was it a time issue? Was the business not making money? Or did someone ask you to "cease and desist"?
You make a real good product at a real reasonable price. Like all the above posters, I had hopes of getting more of your work (still might because I'd get a g43 holster in a heartbeat if you're still offering that) and I still use the holsters you made almost daily.
Regardless, thank you and best wishes.

Time is the issue. By no means did it not have the capability of making money. I could turn it in to a 40K+ business if I had 40+ hours to pour into it. And no C&D's here as it's almost impossible to patent the standard Kydex holster.

My son is at that age where he wants me in the floor playing with trucks and blocks, running around chasing him, and just having him laugh like crazy. Once it's his bed time, it my time to relax after being on my feet all day. I want to try and keep doing a few when I can, but as of now, that seems hard to do.

I have someone from Lexington that i am talking to about purchasing the business, but who knows what will happen.

As someone who has, since age 15, always worked 2 or 3 jobs, I figured this might be an issue for you. You had a great product, competition is getting more and more each day, and your prices were reasonable. However, I would say really good call at the age your son is now. He will have some of his best impressions starting now.

I can't blame you a bit. I am glad I was able to snag quite a few from you. Great product!

I was likely going to order some as well but didn't have any new guns. I might just get more 19 holsters just to have one from a member. Good luck with whatever happens to the company.

Running a small business definitely eats up the time... Sometimes I feel like I am running 10 directions at once... But I agree that while your boy is young take the time to be with him and enjoy your time....
