There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Re: C39V2 AK - Ticking Time Bomb?
I honestly think my dog could produce something of higher quality than Century.
Edit to add: I’ve handled a LOT of their products- from their surplus build kit rifles to their ‘in house’ originals, and have NEVER seen one that didn’t have some significant defect in it. Bent cocking tubes on roller lock designs, canted sights/gas block assemblies, ground bolts, non-functioning safety selectors, and more.

I was looking at one of these a couple of years ago at a local shop. I am so glad that I did not buy it.
God made man.
Samuel Colt made all men equal.
John M. Browning and the 1911 made some men more equal than others.

Why would you be shooting a rifle that you know is malfunctioning and could kaboom at any second in your hand or next to your face???
Put that turd in a vise and use a string to pull the trigger.

And to think that a lot of AK's are made in mud huts in shithole countries by 9 year old kids and those AK's will not malfunction.

Well, it would appear youtube deleted the video I suppose for having an "assault" rifle in it. Tim at MAC was complaining youtube has been doing just that.

I handled several of these new century v2 model rifles and they feel much nicer than the earlier built rifles. They just don’t hold up.

I own a v2 and totally agree with this. Manufacturing is nice. Missed it on the metallurgy. However, mine doesn’t appear to have it near as bad in about 2k rounds. The erosion he describes is what concerns me most.1fastmach1 wrote:I handled several of these new century v2 model rifles and they feel much nicer than the earlier built rifles. I haven’t seen a lot of activity from Century since they were released, so I don’t know if it will get a revision or not.

I was really close to buying one. I saved a couple hundred bucks more and searched until I found a nice Arsenal. I’m so glad I did.PDM wrote:I own a v2 and totally agree with this.
