Saiga 5.45
Saiga 5.45
Hello everyone,
I just purchased my first saiga and chose the 5.45 because it was NIB with a basic conversion and ammo is cheap. So far I have to say I love it. I just had a bad run in with a CAI Tantal that my local gun store took back after it wouldn't even fit a round in the chamber. But to get to the point I'm looking for someone in te NKY area that can walk me trough a front conversion. The videos I am seeing on YouTube are to dark for me to see much and I have never done any gun work before and the hand guard retainer, FSB, and the gas block have me worried.
Thanks

Re: Saiga 5.45
When you say a front conversion are you referring to
Threading the barrel?
Changing the gas block to normal AK style?
something else?
BTW: Welcome to the forum.

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

I would take it to Cranky to do a front end conversion. The AK pistol grip conversion is an easy DIY job though.

Thanks everyone but the rear is already converted for it has regular ak stock and pistol grips already. What I'm looking to do is change out the gas block and tube, front sight block, and thrown ak74 handguards on it.

Me too, I find them more comfortable to hold since they're longer than the usual AK hand guards.SNL wrote:shit i like the saiga handguards better

And that's about to happen
