Re: If this was one of us it could have ended very badly
This sort of thing is one of my greatest fears. I know that if I were a dirtbag invading someones home I'd do it yelling POLICE GET DOWN ON THE GROUND the whole way. That's a nightmare scenario - glass breaks, men enter, it's dark and all you see are silhouettes with guns claiming to be police. Do y...

Re: May 25th - Tactical Pistol lvl 1
Hoping to sign up for this as soon as I get my work schedule cleared. Question for the missus, though - would a 9mm M&P Shield be appropriate for this course? That's her gun of choice but I was concerned that the 8rd capacity may be limiting.

Got what I thought was a great deal at Shooters today. 9mm shield, box of Hornady XTP and a little cleaning kit for $380 including tax.

Where to get rid of wood/junk?
I've got a small trailerload of wood that I, unfortunately, have no place to store. I disassembled a little fence/archway/porch/thingy, concreted-in posts and all. I'm a little new to this suburban life with nowhere to put good junk. How does a feller get rid of this stuff? A little googling yielded...

What kind of shooting is this? (Sorry if this is a dumb question!) Went to GLIPSC a few times before I moved out into Oldham County. If this is anything like that, I'm in!

Re: Turtle taped to balloons floats over Calif. city
Regardless of whether it was a 10yo kid or a drunk adult, this was just foolish and cruel to the critter. Why the hell would you do something like this to an animal? It's one thing to kill and eat something, another to just be a dick! Obviously California will over-react, but somebody deserves a goo...

Very cool. My native Knott County is being decimated, last surface mine closed a few weeks ago. Business in the county is shutting down one by one, everything in the county relied on incomes of coal miners.

Re: Pumpkins lookin at a *gasp* XD
Oh, and while we're at it, my opinion of the XD9sc. I love the gun! It's a lot of fun to shoot and really quite accurate for its barrel length. Recoil is manageable, it's really comfortable to hold, and the grip safety is a nice feature for first time CCDW'ers who haven't built that ingrained trust ...

Wish I had known about this sooner. Should have organized a open carry lunch at CFA. If everyone else is going to tape their politics all over delicious chicken, I might as well too!
