This is why we need to have trunk guns and trauma kits.

Re: AK Lightning Bolt and Lightning Lever

Fuck the Lightning bolt and the guy who runs it. The customer service is awful, the guy who runs things is a douchebag, and when they screw up your order, it will be your fault and your job to fix it. Oh and to top it all of this is after waiting 2 months for the damn thing to show up. Anyway, just...

AK Lightning Bolt and Lightning Lever

Anybody use these items? Seems like a good idea, but then I see Kalashnikov's face and he says, "Neyt! Rifle is fine!"

Re: Before & After Weightloss (G-rated, don't get too excite

That's amazing! I started around 287 like you and my lightest ever has been 210. Hard to believe that the US Army's maximum weight allowance is 197 for guys that are 6'2. Where'd you get that number? Height/weight standards vary by age, but even for an 18 year old the max weight for someone who's 6...

Wolf Gold .223

Just wanted to put this up here. I spent a whole week at a gun class running Wolf Gold .223 in my Colt AR15. Fired about 2500 rounds and got the rifle pretty hot during some drills, like the Australian Peel. Ran like a champ with no appreciable malfunctions. I think the total number of hiccups was f...

Some early Mauser pistols do that too, but it's deliberate.

My Glock 19 rides in a Milton Sparks Versa Max II. It likes to collect lint and dust on top of the slide and around the front sight post.

Re: Errand Gun?

UPDATE After carrying the 36 for awhile, I have realized that I cannot carry it IWB unless I want to clean it every single day, because it will rust with the slightest exposure to liquid. Therefore, it's going to be a pocket gun only. I'm looking for a 640 to use the clip grips. You won't hear me d...

Them Brazilians....

But I'd at least rent one. It might be crazy enough to work. Everyone poo-pooed Stoner's design until Curtis LeMay bought 10,000.

Re: Company making exact copies of Inland WW-II M1 Carbines.

The M1 Carbine is one of my favorite weapons. You rarely see a piece as perfectly balanced in weight and firepower. Let's hope they're better than the stupid Iver Johnson and Universal ones that aren't even the same gun under the hood. And let's hope they start making quality after-market magazines....

I can vouch that P90x is good stuff. However, if you're unsure about how your body will react or you've never worked out a day in your life, there's plain old P90.

That sounds pretty cool. Out of curiousity, what will you end up doing with that? I could end up at a variety of places. Museums, state/federal historic sights, parks services, etc. It won't pay much, but there's a better job outlook than teaching. The best jobs are with the government. What it lac...

You definitely could have done a lot worse. Glad to help, and glad you found something to work for you. There were some budget issues too. Of course I would have loved to gotten him a top tier rifle, but that wasn't possible, and I doubt he'll have an interest in tactical training. Who knows? My fi...

Re: Christmas Gift Help

Thank you all for the suggestions. Given the time constraints we're under and the fact that we wanted an assembled gun here as quickly as possible, we opted to order a new S&W M&P 15 Sport. Should get here in three days. I'll be sure to give it a thorough inspection. Once again, thanks for the input...

WTB: AK

In the market for an AK, price range $400-600. Fixed stock preferred. Not too picky on what kind it is, so long as it's in good condition. Extra goodies always welcome (ammo, extra mags, etc.) I live in Paducah, so we'll need to arrange a good meet-up point. I'm not able to drive 4 hours one-way. PM...
