With all the options out there, never buy crap mags. This was a problem in the 90s but has been basically eradicated. Pmags, lancer, GI mags, get good mags.

I know that its still not a glock.

Imo it takes a few hundred rounds to break in a glock trigger. I dont subscribe to the whole modified triggers on carry guns, the factory glock trigger is great.

With whats avalible now, the AK is scoped pretty easy. You should probably look around some to see what options are avalible.


I feel that the Factory AK scope mount is far better the the SKS mounts avalible.

Midway has complete upper for 275 right now.

With that said, keep x39 in an AK. Nothing wrong with an Ak, in fact with some of the parts avalible now there is no real benifit of one vs the other. If you want to run x39 get AK, if 556 get AR 15

Im concerned that it will end up being the same crap there beef is. Most of the appeal of any wild game, at least for myself, is that it has not been tainted by our commercial food industry.

The handgun plaform is my vote as well. Dont think of it as a handgun, with a stock and forward drop grip its an Sbr with an exposed bolt. The benifit of 9mm is the mags can go in to the grip greatly reducing the length of the weapon.
