Re: Kel-Tec PMR-30

Hope you didn't have to over pay. I wanted to pay $300, but I paid $400, which stings, but not nearly as much as paying $500 on GunBroker. I guess, if you wanna play, you gotta pay. Any time Kel-Tec firearms are mentioned online, there is an inevitable bashing because they're unavailable at any rea...

My OTHER bolt action rifle. http://209.197.93.201/Viper50BMG-Scope-RightA-cropped.jpg Bluegrass Armory Viper .50 BMG I'm thinking about selling the Leupold VX-III 6.5-20X50 scope and buying a huge Sightron 10-50X60 mil-dot scope... not that I have anyplace to shoot it that's far enough to justify a ...

Re: Simplicity wooden clock

Too cool! I never do any woodworking any more. In fact, my Dremel scroll saw is on the list of stuff to put on Craig's List. A friend has a 40W desktop laser and I'd be very tempted to cut those parts on the laser. Yes, I know that completely misses the point. The laser can do very intricate engravi...

Re: Fan violence leads to shooting

Some of the fireworks in my Lexington neighborhood last night sounded like shots fired, but then again, shots are fired here fairly often. Gosh, the city council passed an ordinance making it illegal to discharge a firearm. So how can there possibly be shots fired in my neighborhood? I don't underst...

Re: Stoking up the hate...

Seven months until the election, and bogus government statistics to the contrary, real unemployment is around 20%, real inflation is around 12% per year and rising, gas prices are trending up.... Time to change the dialog. I don't think we have a clear picture of what really happened in this case, a...

Re: WTB Pistol caliber carbine

I have a SUB-2000 in 9mm and another in .40 - both Glock magazine configurations. I love the simplicity of the blow back design (reliable and maintainable), and the light weight. Sharing high capacity Glock mags with pistols... priceless! Like most Kel-Tec stuff lately, they can't make them fast eno...

Jeff Quinn did a nice video review on the GunBlast channel on YouTube. http://youtu.be/_b38Jw2_fw4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (5:32 video) Here's the article for those who like to read and see hi-res pictures and more detailed info. http://www.gunblast.com/Ruger-1022TD.htm I'm st...

Re: To Glock or Not to Glock?

I have a Gen 1 Glock 20 from the early 1990s that I still like a lot. I recently added a Lone Wolf stainless extended barrel. For rugged reliability, it's hard to beat a Glock, although I have nothing bad to say about the XD line, either. I've been wanting to buy another Glock lately... maybe a Gen ...

Re: Return of the DeLorean

That's weird because a couple of days ago, out of the clear blue, I wondered if anyone would try to revive the DeLorean. I like the stainless body panel aspect. My Tacoma is one with the rusting frame (manufacturing defect that Toyota is not covering, see http://www.TacomaCorrosion.com for details)....

Re: Keltec KSG

I'm on a couple of waiting lists for a KSG. Oleg Volk is the Kel-Tec photographer and he just posted on his blog about his recent trip to Kel-Tec, and the racks of KSGs awaiting testing. Kel-Tec is a small company, but they are slowly expanding and increasing their production. I was one of the peopl...

Re: roll em if ya got em

I reload 9mm, .40 S&W, 10mm, .223, .308, .50 BMG, and a bit of 7.5X55 Swiss and 7.62X54R. I have dies for .357/38, .44, .30-30 but never used them. I just tooled up to load .300 BLK and have 500 pieces of brass I converted from .223 ready to be loaded. The 9, 40, 10, .223, .308 and .300 BLK are (or ...

Re: PRVI Partizan brass?

I'd rate PRVI way above Remington brass, above Winchester brass, but below Lapua brass (which costs a LOT more).

When I started loading 7.5X55 Swiss for my K31, I bought new PRVI brass. It's good stuff IMO.

Re: What do you use?

Kahr PM9, back pocket, in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster... all day every day, for the last six years. I recently added a Crimson Trace laser with the switch on the front of the grip and the laser in front of the trigger guard, and I think it'll offer a significant advantage in the unlikely event...

Kel-Tec PMR-30

My latest pistola! The Kel-Tec PMR-30 is a very slim and ultralight standard sized pistol with a capacity of 30+1 rounds of .22 magnum. http://209.197.93.201/PMR-30-CMR-201Laser800.jpg http://209.197.93.201/PMR-30-CMR-201Laser-Magazine800.jpg It's a lot of fun to shoot! Re: Bolt gun pics.

My relatively new Howa stainless heavy barrel .308. I haven't worked up a best load for it yet, but even with my reloaded break-in ammo, I was impressed with the accuracy. http://209.197.93.201/Howa-1500.jpg The scope is a Sightron 4.5-14X44. I like Sightron... a lot. Great quality optics and very g...
