I bought them awhile back because the slide was rubbing the top of my hand. I started with the large ribbed one but changed to the small smooth one because it doesn't go down the back strap as far making the grip smaller. I like the feel and it takes the worry about the slide hitting my hand away.

Picked up the complete lower kit. This will be my first AR build and Devin answered several questions about the lower and gave me some tips on how to assemble it. Thanks for the information and the good deal.
